ColoCordatura for violin and guitar (2011 / rev. 2012). Duration: ca. 13’ In this work composed for a Sibelius Academy project, Vesikkala features different groupings of time, each with their own characteristics: “In combining those substances, I aimed at continuously shifting the timbral focus of the listener by using a multitude of extended pitch and noise material, as well as whispered parts”. An intense counterpoint of two human voices and their instruments runs through the composition.
